Recording the process of a new music album by Rastayuga, a private limited music company. Currently in production, the project brings traditional Indian musicians into conversation with reggae genre;
tracing shared histories, rhythms, and cultural roots, and revealing unexpected links between reggae roots and India.
The project creates a platform for exchange, where emotional bonds can form across languages, histories, and places. This collaboration becomes a space for creative translation, inviting artists and practitioners from different backgrounds and traditions to build something together.
Meeting Rivers is embedded within this process, producing moving-image material and stills for live performances while documenting the making of the album.
